Photography is about story telling and today’s post-processing tools can help us craft the story we’re telling almost as much as the shooting of the image. In this webinar, Rad will show you how he uses TopazLabs products such as Adjust, Impression, Glow, and Texture Effects, to help him tell a story with his color and infrared images.

Rad A. Drew is a passionate photographer and award-winning iPhoneographer whose creative iPhone images have been recognized in juried international competitions and exhibited in galleries around the world. Using Topaz tools allows Rad to create effects on the computer that are similar to those he creates using the iPhone, but with greater control and higher resulting image quality. Rad is a favored speaker who teaches photography and leads tours throughout the United States, Cuba, and Europe. This spring he completed his first successful tour in the south of France, is heading back to Cuba in November for his 7th time, and is slated to lead a tour in Ireland in August 2017.

I love working with textures. And I love working with the Topaz Suite! So why not combine the two? Not only can you use Topaz Texture Effects to apply textures to your photos, but you can use it to modify your own textures!

Many of the Topaz products are great for modifying textures – I will show you some of my favorites including Adjust, Impression and ReStyle! You can create your own library of textures, making them uniquely yours.

Working with textures lets me express my creative nature. Textures are a great way to turn that “almost” good image into something wonderful and take that “great” image to fantastic! I call it, “turning ho-hum into a work of art”.

Hazel Meredith is involved with the photographic community on local, regional and national levels. She is an officer of the Greater Bridgeport Camera Club; the Connecticut Association of Photographers; and the New England Camera Club Council and active in the Photographic Society of America, and has presented at many camera clubs and councils throughout the U.S.

Her photos have won awards in both local competitions and international salons. In 2008 she received an honors distinction of Master Member of NECCC; in 2013 she was awarded the distinction of APSA from the Photographic Society of America.

She just released her first eBook, “Working with Textures & Overlays: Turn Ho-Hum into a Work of Art”.
